The conversation.
Bring your questions
Start with a concern, a change you have noticed, a previous experience or simply a question. You do not have to choose a treatment in advance.
Make space for the whole picture
We talk about your priorities, medical history, medicines and previous care. Examination or tests happen only if they will help decide what comes next.
Understand the options
You hear the suitable options in plain language: what they involve, the evidence, risks, recovery, alternatives and cost. Questions are always welcome.
Decide at your own pace
The next step might be practical advice, further tests, a referral, time to think or no treatment. The decision is yours.
Review and adapt
If you go ahead, we agree how progress will be reviewed and how to reach us if you are worried. With your consent, we can keep your usual GP informed.
Types of appointment.
Fees and appointment lengths will be published before opening.
- Initial consultation
- Your first appointment, for any area of care: history, assessment and a discussion of your options.
- Procedure appointment
- Booked separately once you have had time to consider your options, so you are never asked to decide on the day.
- Review appointment
- A follow-up to see how things are going and adjust the plan if needed.
- Telehealth follow-up
- Many reviews, for example for weight management, menopause care or discussing results, can be held by video where clinically appropriate. First consultations, examinations, skin checks and procedures are in person.
- Skin check
- A full-body or single-spot check of moles and skin spots using a dermatoscope.
Before and after a procedure.
Before a procedure, you receive written instructions on how to prepare, including any medicines or skincare to pause.
Afterwards, you go home with written aftercare advice: what is normal, what is not, and how to contact the practice if you are worried.
A review is arranged where it is needed, so progress can be checked and any concern dealt with early.
What to bring.
- Your current medicines and supplements, with any relevant allergies or sensitivities.
- Recent results or reports that may relate to your concern.
- Details of previous skincare, procedures or care, where relevant.
- A short note of changes, when they began and how they affect you.
- Your questions and what you would most like to understand.
Bring what you have. You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis or a perfectly organised account of your health.
